CCP will utilize Beijing Olympics to whitewash genocide, say rights activists

New Delhi [India], January 28 (ANI): A few days ahead of the Beijing Olympics, several Uyghur activists and human rights experts at a webinar argued that the Winter Games will implicitly approve of the rights violation of the Muslim minority community in China. Since the early 2000s the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has conveniently labelled Uyghurs as “terrorists” due to their Muslim identity, said Ilshat Hassan Kokbore, Vice-Chairman of the World Uyghur Congress Executive Committee. Kokbore made these remarks during a webinar titled “CCP’s Uyghur Genocide and Diplomatic Boycott of the Beijing Olympics” on January 27. This webinar was conducted by the independent foreign policy think tank Red Lantern Analytica. The Red Lantern Analytica convened a panel discussion with experts on Uyghur rights, Chinese domestic security, and civil rights activists. During the discussion, Ilshat Hassan Kokbore, Vice-Chairman of the World Uyghur Congress Executive Committee said since the Chinese conquered Xinjiang, the Uyghurs have been subjected to Chinese-sponsored Genocide. “Since the early 2000s, following 9/11 incident, the Chinese Communist Party has conveniently labelled Uyghurs as ‘terrorists’ due to their Muslim identity. Chinese authorities have imprisoned Uyghur academics and suppressed any criticism,” he said. Since the occupation, not only residents in China’s illegally occupied regions have been subjected to Chinese threats and ill-treatment, but also residents of neighbouring countries such as South-Asian countries, according to Kokbore. Additionally, he stated that the International Olympic Committee has legitimized Chinese atrocities, just as they did with the Nazis at the 1936 Olympics. He also noted that the Chinese Communist Party will utilize the Olympics to whitewash the Genocide of Uyghurs, Tibetans, and other persecuted populations. Dr. Erkin Sidick, Senior Advisor to the World Uyghur Congress and Founder of the Uyghur Projects Foundation (UPF), disclosed that around 1.8 million Uyghurs were transferred to Concentration Camps and another 2.1 million were subjected to organ harvesting. “Up to 4 million Uyghurs are detained in camps and forced labour facilities. Around 14,000 forced labour factories are estimated to exist in occupied XinJiang alone.” He also stated that the number of Uyghurs slain and disappeared in the Chinese-sponsored Uyghur Genocide is more than that of the Holocaust. Julie Millsap, the third speaker is an advocate for Uyghur human rights, emphasized how China has failed to learn from its past mistakes, continuing to murder people and hold them captive in concentration camps. Additionally, she charged China with mass genocide against its Uyghur ethnic group. The government in China, according to her, has failed to live up to its commitments to its citizens. She then asserted that the Foreign Olympic Committee is corrupt and that she hopes for foreign organizations to impose pressure on the Chinese government and intervene to alleviate humanitarian conditions. Jevlan Shirmemmet, an Uyghur activist in Turkey whose family is jailed in Chinese concentration camps, claimed that no Uyghur from the Uyghur Diaspora has been permitted to leave China since 2016-17. He noted that the Chinese government have frequently denied the existence of Concentration camps, referring to them as “Re-education” camps that provide vocational training to Uyghurs. He stated that while everyone can communicate with anyone in current times, the CCP’s nefarious schemes prevent people from communicating with their own relatives for many continuous years. According to him, anyone who watches the Chinese winter Olympics in 2022 will implicitly approve of the Uyghur genocide and the persecution of countless others over the last several years. (ANI)

Manchuria’s resistance against Chinese Communist Party’s illegal occupation

Manchuria’s resistance against Chinese Communist Party’s illegal occupation New Delhi: China does not just occupy countries and regions such as Tibet, East Turkistan, and Hong Kong; but also Manchukuo in its northeast which is also significant and has been illegally held by the Chinese Communist Party for decades, said Arslan Sartak, Prime Minister of the Government of Manchuria in Exile and President of the Concordia Association. As per Arslan Sartak, Manchukuo was founded in 1932 and had established itself as a constitutional monarchy by 1934. By the 1940s, Manchukuo had become one of East Asia’s fastest-growing states but was regrettably occupied by the Soviet Union in 1945 and eventually handed over to the PRC in 1949. China has been occupying the region illegally since then. “Manchukuo, under pressure from the USSR, was in the process of establishing anti-communist mechanisms in their country in order to counter communist influence from the USSR and China. Following World War II’s conclusion, Russia became the primary adversary to western nations such as the United States, and China took advantage of the upheaval to seize control of Manchukuo.” said Arslan Sartak, Prime Minister of the Government of Manchuria in Exile and President of the Concordia Association during a webinar. A webinar titled ‘Manchurian Resistance against Chinese Communist Party’s Occupation organized by Red Lantern Analytica aimed to educate participants about China’s illegal occupation of Manchukuo. Arslan stated, Since 1932, Manchuria has been a sovereign state, and China’s illegal occupation will not change that fact. He also stated that China never followed correct international procedures in integrating Manchuria into China, and hence stills remains a sovereign state under international law added Arslan. He also believes that Manchuria should be autonomous and independent of the CCP. He asserted that the Manchurian people cannot endure under CCP control and that the CCP had destroyed all political systems in Manchuria since assuming power. by Zee News. https://zeenews.india.com/world/manchurian-resistance-against-chinese-communist-partys-occupation-2416391.html

Contemporary Nuclear Non-Proliferation Landscape: Implications for India

The AUKUS strategic relationship between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States has caused a commotion that can be heard from the Indo-Pacific to the Atlantic. Canberra is relieved, Beijing is outraged, Paris is irritated, and Southeast Asia is terrified as Washington plans to hand up its tightly guarded nuclear submarine technology. In New Delhi the reaction has been a blend of good and bad. The only direct remark on AUKUS came from Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla, who suggested the deal was a strategic alliance among the three Anglo-Saxon powers and therefore irrelevant since it would have no impact on the functioning of the Quad. To discuss more on this issue, Red Lantern Analytica, a Delhi based think tank, on 27th of October had a conversation with their guest of honour, and an eminent nuclear expert Dr. Manpreet Sethi, Distinguished Fellow, Centre For Air Power Studies, New Delhi. Dr. Sethi discussed on “Contemporary Nuclear Non-Proliferation Landscape: Implications for India.” Dr.Sethi pointed out that for at least the last 10 years, it was globally believed that nuclear weapons will slowly fade out from national security strategies and more proliferation will not happen. However, this is not where we are presently at. The norms of both non-proliferation as well as the norm of non-use of nuclear weapons both seem to be under severe threat but caught as we are, especially in our region with concerns of geopolitics and geoeconomics that is arising with the rising of a state in the neighborhood, which seems to be treading on those of many, many countries, including that of India. The focus of non proliferation seems to have dissipated. Dr. Sethi explained the new developments in non proliferation by demonstrating the doomsday clock, which gives a graphic representation of what is the state of the nuclear danger that the world is facing right now. So the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, which is an organization from Washington DC, that brings out a journal every month. In January of every year, they revise the time on this clock. So the closer we are to midnight, the dangers from the nuclear weapons dimension and the possibility of use of the nuclear weapon is much more. And now, we are 100 seconds to midnight. This time was revised in January this year and this is the closest that we have ever been to midnight, which means the end of the world. While speaking about the importance of nuclear weapons in national security strategies, Dr Sethi remarked, that has actually increased in the last few years, and nobody seems to be in a mood for disarmament. The contemporary challenges to nuclear non-proliferation is in both the dimensions, vertical as well as horizontal. Vertical non-proliferation means increase in nuclear numbers and modernization of the arsenal. On the horizontal front more countries being able to acquire nuclear weapons. The nine nuclear armed states face heightened threat perception from each other, each is assuming the worst of the other, there are no strategic dialogues that are happening between them. All these countries are involved in nothing but an offence-defense spiral against each other’s assumed capabilities. Though the “Treaty on prohibition of production, testing, possession, stock filing, transfer etc. of nuclear weapons” or simply the Ban Treaty, adopted in the UNGA on 7 July 2017, has come into force, yet, disarmament doesn’t seem to be on the horizon and it has no support from the nine nuclear armed states. Thus, nuclear weapons are here to stay. India considers them as a necessary evil given the sensitive security environment around us. If all move towards elimination of nuclear weapons through multilateral treaty then India will give up its nuclear. She remarked that now the relation between countries is no longer bipolar or straightforward as it used to be during the cold war between the US and USSR”. At the nuclear level everything is rather fashioned in chain relations. For instance, in the South Asian region between India and Pakistan cannot but take into account what China is doing and China will have to look at what the US, Russia, other countries are doing and therefore everything spirals into a chain conundrum at the nuclear level. So it’s not possible to find regional solutions alone. For the kind of global chains that have evolved in the nuclear dimension, these are also times of strident nationalism where each country is thinking about its national interests before international peace and security concepts. In this situation, India faces the risk of being stuck into an arms race. It crafted a nuclear doctrine for itself in 1999. This doctrine says that we are going to build a small arsenal with what we call credible minimum deterrence, and that we will exercise deterrence by the idea of punishment. So because the weapon is of a nature that can cause large scale damage, India will build small numbers, but will ensure massive retaliation to the other side if they use their nuclear weapons against us. Acts of nuclear terrorism is also a major concern for India, apart from which, India has China as the master puppeteer of the relationship that the US would have with North Korea on the one hand, it sort of takes a hands off approach and says it is something between US and North Korea to resolve and at the same time it keeps propping up North Korea as a nuclear adversary. So, in order to create complications on US security, we find a rather complicated problem here with North Korea and how it implicates India. Talking about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Dr. Sethi remarked that it is still in jeopardy. This is what is loosely known as the Iran deal that was signed in 2015. And the idea of this deal was that you would put a stop to how Iran could do either uranium enrichment or plutonium production and reprocessing. But unfortunately, Trump withdrew from the JCPOA in 2018, and as a result of that Iran has

Red Lantern Analytica urges UN to dispatch fact-finding mission in Kashmir to assess danger posed by terror elements

By Zee News As per the statement, Pakistan has been continuously abetting incidents of cross border terrorism, by terrorists nurtured on the Pakistani soil, had been a regular strategy by Pakistan’s ISI, to implement in reality, the promise made by their former President Bhutto to “Bleed India with a Thousand Cuts”.New Delhi: In a bid to bring attention to atrocities against Hindus in Kashmir, citing the role of Pakistan, Red Lantern Analytica has written a letter to Fionnuala Ní Aoláin, the new Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and Michèle Coninsx, UN Assistant Secretary-General Executive Director of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate United Nations. The letter cited the recent incident in Jammu & Kashmir, wherein, three civilians were gunned down by terrorists within a span of an hour. The first incident occurred in Srinagar’s Iqbal Park, where an eminent Kashmiri Pandit who was a chemist, Makhan Lal Bindroo, proprietor of Srinagar’s most renowned drug store, was shot dead by the terrorists. The second incident took place, when the militants struck at Hawal area of the city, killing a non-local street vendor, Virender, who used to sell bhelpuri, was shot at point-blank and died on the spot. The third incident took place at Naidkhai in Bandipora district, where Mohammad Shafi Lone was shot dead. While the police did not identify any specific terror group behind the attack, TRF asserted responsibility for the attack. In a statement, TRF asked Kashmiris not to grieve his demise. The group also targeted the daughter of the deceased, who challenged the gunmen who killed her father to face her in a debate. The TRF also warned everyone in Kashmir, about its intention to kill people belonging to the minority Hindu and Sikh Communities. These kinds of brutal crimes against innocent Kashmiri Pandits took the entire nation by shock. After the revocation of Articles 35A and 370, though it was perceived that militancy would decline, the formation of the TRF is trying to destroy the new hope. The TRF or the “The Resistance Front”, comes as a sophisticated version of the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen. Since its formation, there had been many incidents of brutal attacks on civilians by members of the TRF. And now this one. The killing of the Kashmiri Pandit chemist is like the last blow. If the security scenario in Kashmir is not taken up by the premiere Human Rights organizations like the UN, then the day is not far, when Pakistan would in the name of Jihad wipe off the remaining Hindu population from the entire Kashmir and become successful in bleeding India with thousand cuts. That was not all, two more civilians working as teachers in a government school in the Eidgah area of Srinagar, were shot dead by the terrorists. One of the victims was identified by police as Satinder Kaur and Deepak Chand, belonging to the region’s minority Sikh and Hindu communities. Recent cases of people being targeted, primarily from non-Muslim minorities, have sparked widespread resentment among India’s Hindu and Sikh populations. Many fears a recurrence of the 1990’s Hindu Exodus from Kashmir, when Kashmiri Pandits were subjected to ethnic cleansing and extermination by local and Pakistani-backed Islamic militants. As per the statement, Pakistan has been continuously abetting incidents of cross border terrorism, by terrorists nurtured on the Pakistani soil, had been a regular strategy by Pakistan’s ISI, to implement in reality, the promise made by their former President Bhutto to “Bleed India with a Thousand Cuts”. It said that atrocities against Hindu populations in Kashmir have long been a part of the region’s history. It grew even more violent in 1965, when Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Pakistan’s former Prime Minister and President, proclaimed a thousand-year war on India in the UN Security Council, also known as Bleed India with a Thousand Cuts, a military doctrine to attack India. Due to the endless political savagery waged by Pakistan on India, post its birth after independence, Kashmir has turned out to be one of the most dangerous places on the planet. There are many incidences of cross border terrorism by Pakistan. The first incident happened in Kashmir in the 1980s when groups of trained terrorists crossed the border into India. According to Kashmir, however, the cross-border terrorism that Pakistan was abetting was nothing more than a component of the Kashmiris’ “freedom struggle” for which Pakistan offered spiritual support. However, when the Director-General of the ISI declared in the Pakistani National Assembly that the ISI was financing this support in Kashmir, this claim was debunked. Kashmir has witnessed an escalation of violence over the period of time. There have been incidents such as the terror attack on the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot, Punjab on 2nd January 2016. The death of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani at the hands of the Indian Security Forces, spinning out into violence on the streets. Then came the terror strike on Indian Security forces in Uri on 8th September 2016. India did the surgical strike on terror outfits in POJK in 2016 and managed to control stone-pelting. Then came the Pulwama terrorist attack of 14th February 2019, as a response to which India carried out an airstrike at Balakot on the 26th of the same month. Based on this evidence that establishes the atrocities against Hindus, Red Lantern Analytica has implored them to dispatch a fact-finding mission to Kashmir to assess the danger posed by the presence of terror elements in the valley and to investigate killings of civilians by such terrorists and ensure that the OHCHR takes Suo moto cognizance of the matter and constitutes a special committee to investigate the matter after the fact-finding mission submits its report. It also implored them to create a committee with special rapporteurs to focus on issues of terrorism in Kashmir and assess the role of Pakistan in the process. China, Taliban connection can pose a great threat to international security: Expert

Source: zeenews.india.com Michael Johns said that Talibans can never change. Their intention of spreading Global Jihad and the brutalities they perpetrate to achieve this remains the same. And in this process, they are being offered sophisticated guidance from Pakistan’s ISI and patronized by CCP China. New Delhi: China’s Belt and Road initiative has two plans to be executed. One is to facilitate travel between Kabul and Pakistan, that would be the part of the broader transportation, and the other is to concentrate on mineral rich Afghanistan and its key resources. The Communist nation is slowly moving in and trying to broaden its influence as it did in Latin America. In Afghanistan, it is trying to draw the support of a small group with extremist ideology and backed by another problematic regime of South Asia, Pakistan. Michael Johns, the co-founder of the US Tea Party movement, in a interview with Red Lantern Analytica pointed out that India has a very significant role to play in the region. About the relationship between India and the United States, given the CCP’s aggression, including against India, it really hold a significance. “The relationship between the CCP and the Talibans is a developed relationship but is currently underrated. The role of China in the Taliban issue is the one that deserves a great degree of scrutiny. This connection between the CCP and the Taliban can pose a great threat to international security,” said Michael Johns. Michael Johns, a leading US foreign policy expert, has served previously as a White House presidential speechwriter to President George HW Bush, and as a senior aide in the US Senate and to former New Jersey Governor and 9/11 Commission chairman Thomas Kean. Michael Johns further said that Talibans can never change. Their intention of spreading Global Jihad and the brutalities they perpetrate to achieve this remains the same. And in this process they are being offered sophisticated guidance from Pakistan’s ISI and patronized by CCP China. “The fact that 9/11 was orchestrated by Osama Bin Laden is true, but it was much abetted directly or indirectly by the Taliban regime during that time, who offered them safe haven. The Taliban’s emergence was really the one that was developed out of Pakistan’s involvement, with a desire to see such a government in Kabul that might not be very interesting to the major world powers. Thus, no government except CCP China is recognizing the Taliban and no one should,” he opined. On asking how does the US, being a close ally to the UK, explain the UK’s decision to recognize the Talibans, pointing out the extreme brutality that this group has unleashed, Michael said this group should never be recognized. He, however, remarked that Boris Johnson said they may need to speak with the Taliban but no UK diplomatic recognition of them has been extended (at least not yet). On being asked about China’s long term goals in the process, John said that when China came out with its identity it was actually on an aggressive plan to surpass the United States, and develop its monopoly in various sectors. It was the plan and the policy of the Xi-Jinping government to always control Central Asia, he added.

Taliban controlled Afghanistan and a profit making ground for China

Source: latestnews.fresherslive.com New Delhi, Aug 24 (IANS) The Taliban, who ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001, once again took over the war-torn nation on August 15 with the capture of Kabul after weeks-long blitz. With the rise of the Taliban, a hardline Islamist militant movement, a grave threat is looming over Afghanistan and also the entire South Asia. The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan has given a new sense of urgency to the world leaders to tackle the problem and prohibit this new outfit from propagating global jihad through arms and terror. Predictions are being made as to how America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan will impact China’s regional and global standing. Some argue the withdrawal of US forces will free up American resources to focus on China and the Indo-Pacific. For others, the withdrawal opens a vacuum for China to exploit. Still others assert that Taiwan is now more vulnerable because Beijing has taken the measure of America’s resolve and competence and found it lacking. To delve into this matter, the Red Lantern Analytica on Tuesday caught up with Michael Johns, the co-founder of the US Tea Party movement, the largest grassroots political movement in American history. The US Tea Party movement has supported adherence to the US Constitution, limited government, and lower taxes and was broadly credited with Republican victories in the US House of Representatives in 2010, the US Senate in 2014, and helping pave the ground for the grassroots-led political victory of Donald Trump in 2016. Michael Johns is also a leading US foreign policy expert and has served previously as a White House presidential speechwriter to President George H.W. Bush and as a senior aide in the US Senate and to former New Jersey Governor and 9/11 Commission chairman Thomas Kean. Johns has authored the book ‘The US and Africa Statistical Handbook’, and has also written for The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, National Review and other media houses. Johns is a graduate of the University of Miami, where he majored in economics. He also studied abroad at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge University, in the UK. He was asked what he thought about the revival of the Taliban regime that may somehow weaken the US-led liberal international order based on democratic values, because the world’s most ‘powerful autocratic country and human rights violator’ — China — is playing the key role in legitimising the Taliban government, another great violator of human rights. To this, Johns replied that the relationship between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Taliban is a developed relationship, which is currently underrated. The role of China in the Taliban issue is the one that deserves a great degree of scrutiny. This connection between the CCP and the Taliban can pose a great threat to international security, he said. He elaborated further, in the context of the Taliban resurgence, many are of the opinion that there has been a considerable change in the Taliban policy, but that’s not true. Taliban can never change. Their intention of spreading global Jihad and the brutalities they perpetrate to achieve this remains the same, Johns said. And in this process, they are being offered sophisticated guidance from Pakistan’s ISI and are patronised by the CCP. Thus, as Johns pointed out, India has a very significant role to play in the region. The relationship between India and the US, given the CCP’s aggression, including against India, is really significant. As a Heritage Foundation foreign policy analyst, Johns was a leading architect and proponent of the Reagan Doctrine of support for global political and insurgency movements confronting Soviet-backed Communist regimes, including the resistance forces of Ahmad Shah Massoud in Afghanistan, which is widely credited with helping end the Cold War without direct US military intervention. After the end of the Cold War, Johns ran global programme development for the International Republican Institute, a non-governmental organisation supported by the US government that assists non-democratic nations and developing democracies with organizing and implementing democratic institutions, developing constitutions that protect individual rights, expanding women’s and indigenous peoples’ rights, and planning and holding free and fair elections. Taliban gave China a chance to make profits by controlling Afghanistan

Source: indiannewsweekly.com New Delhi: The Taliban, who ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001, once again captured the war-torn country on 15 August. The Taliban have finally captured Kabul after weeks of fighting with military forces, and they have established control over almost the entire country. With the rise of the Taliban, a radical Islamist terrorist movement, Afghanistan and the whole of South Asia are under serious threat. The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan has sparked a renewed spirit among global leaders to tackle the problem and prevent this new organization from propagating global jihad through weapons and terror. Many predictions are being made as to what will be the impact of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan on China’s regional and global situation. Some argue that the withdrawal of US forces would free up US resources to focus on China and the Indo-Pacific. The military withdrawal is opening up a way of exploitation for China. Others are insisting that Taiwan is now more vulnerable, because Beijing has seen and lacked America’s resolve and capability. To investigate the matter, Red Lantern Analytica spoke Tuesday to Michael Johns, co-founder of the American Tea Party Movement, the largest grassroots political movement in American history. The US Tea Party movement has supported adherence to the US Constitution, limited government and low taxes, and has largely led to the political victory of Donald Trump in the US House of Representatives in 2010, the Republican victory in the US Senate in 2014 and Donald Trump in 2016. He was asked what he thinks about the revival of the Taliban regime, which could undermine the US-led liberal international order based on democratic values, as the world’s most powerful autocratic country and human rights violator China now plays a key role. I have arrived. To this, Johns responded that the relationship between the Communist Party of China (CCP) and the Taliban is an evolving relationship, which is currently undermined. China’s role in the Taliban issue is one that deserves a lot of scrutiny. He said this relationship between the CCP and the Taliban could pose a major threat to international security. He further elaborated that in the context of the Taliban’s resurgence, many people are of the opinion that Taliban policy has changed significantly, but this is not true. Taliban can never change. Johns said that their intention to spread global jihad and the brutality they use to achieve it are the same. In the process, he is being offered sophisticated guidance from Pakistan’s ISI and patronized by the CCP. The fact that 9/11 was planned by Osama bin Laden is true, but it was greatly promoted, directly or indirectly, by the Taliban regime at the time, which offered him safe haven. The rise of the Taliban has actually evolved from the involvement of Pakistan. He did so only with his desire to see such a government in Kabul. Thus, no government, except the CCP, is recognizing the Taliban and no one should, he said. When asked how the US, being a close ally of Britain, explains Britain’s decision to recognize the Taliban. Pointing out the extreme cruelty committed by this group, Johns said that this group should never be recognized. However, he remarked that while Boris Johnson has said he may need to speak with the Taliban, no UK diplomatic recognition of his has been extended (at least not yet). Asked about China’s long-term goals in the process, Johns said China has come to terms with its identity and that it is actually moving forward with an aggressive plan to overtake the US and develop its monopoly in various sectors. Used to be. It is the plan and policy of the Xi-Jinping government to always keep control over Central Asia. Johns cited the example of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which has two plans to be implemented. First, facilitating travel between Kabul and Pakistan, which will be part of the wider transportation, and second, Afghanistan is very mineral-rich and its key resources are of great importance to China. On asked how does the US, being a close ally to the UK, explain the UK’s decision to recognise the Taliban, pointing out the extreme brutality that this group has unleashed, Johns said that this group should never be recognised. However, he remarked, Boris Johnson has said that they may need to speak with the Taliban but no UK diplomatic recognition of them has been extended (at least not yet). On asked about China’s long-term goals in the process, Johns said that when China came out with its identity, it was actually an aggressive plan to surpass the US, and develop their monopoly in various sectors. It was the plan and the policy of the Xi-Jinping government to always control Central Asia. Johns gave the example of China’s Belt and Road initiative, which has two plans to be executed. One is to facilitate travel between Kabul and Pakistan, that would be the part of the broader transportation, and secondly, Afghanistan is very mineral rich and its key resources are very vital to China. China is slowly moving in and trying to broaden its influence as it did in Latin America, he said. In Afghanistan, it is trying to draw the support of a small group with extremist ideology and backed by another problematic regime of South Asia, Pakistan. He has also worked in-country throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the former Soviet Union, including in Kuwait
